As the air turns crisp and the leaves begin to change, it’s the perfect moment to refresh your dining table with a look that feels warm, layered, and effortlessly elegant. Runners from left to right: Paysage, Harvest, Flora, Aria.
Start with the Runner
Runners are often the first layer that sets the mood for the entire table. They create the backdrop, introduce color and texture, and guide the overall style of the setting. For this tablescape, we considered a few different directions, from bold and artistic to seasonal and classic, before settling on the Flora runner. Its warm autumn hues and organic flow gave us the perfect balance: rich and inviting, yet still fresh and modern. With Flora as the foundation, we built the table step by step, layering in pieces that complemented its colors and flow. Each addition shaped the mood further, showing how different combinations can shift the overall look while keeping the setting balanced and inviting.

Choosing the Perfect Placemats
Placemats play a key role in defining each place setting, adding both structure and personality to the table. We explored a few different options before landing on the right fit. The Celtic placemats stood out for their unique shapes, while Luster offered a sleek form that felt like a strong contender, though a little more glam than the fall mood we envisioned. Pearls mat brought a playful touch with its dotted edge, but in the end, Whipstitch won out. Its leather detailing provided just the right amount of contrast with the Flora runner, pulling the look together with warmth and texture.
Napkin from left to right: Logan, Flora, and Brighton.
Selecting Napkins
Napkins are often the most impactful finishing touch on a table. They can completely shift the mood and tie everything together. We considered Brighton and Logan, both offering warmth and structure with their clean, linear designs, and even thought about Flora to echo the runner. In the end, though, we chose Odyssey. Its subtle gold accents bring a gentle shimmer and warmth, adding sophistication without competing with the runner’s pattern. It's just the right detail to elevate the entire setting!

Picking Napkin Rings
Napkin rings are often the smallest element on the table, but they’re also one of the most transformative. They can echo a mood, highlight a texture, or tie in details from other parts of the setting. Think of them as little connectors: a bronze ring that picks up the shine of flatware, or a pearlescent finish that reflects the glow of glassware. We looked at options like mother-of-pearl for a luminous touch and bronze for added warmth, but in the end we gravitated toward wood. The Alexis napkin ring brought the perfect natural balance, grounding the table while seamlessly complementing the overall design. It’s a reminder that even the tiniest accent can set the tone for the entire tablescape.

Finishing Touches
While we love fresh florals, for this tablescape we let the runner carry the floral element. Candles were added as sculptural accents, complementing the warm fall palette and adding texture and visual interest to the table. The result is a setting that feels seasonal, elegant, and welcoming. It's perfect for long autumn dinners or holiday gatherings. We hope you enjoyed seeing how experimenting with different options can completely change the mood of a table. What choices would you have made?
